What might be possible when you explore your most challenging issue with a beginner’s mind? That is, a mind that is open to possibilities, open to ask any question (because there is no stupid one), open to make mistakes and with permission to explore the breadths and depths of leadership.
There may be new perspectives, new questions, new ideas and new avenues to consider.
Find an opportunity to be a beginner this week, even when you may be the expert.
Notice what it’s like to get curious about something.
Notice what changes for you when you give yourself permission to explore… and perhaps ask the same old question that you thought was answered years ago.
Alternatively, how about asking a beginner or non-expert about your issue?
Ask your partner, child, friend, a stranger in the canteen…you never know what possibilities they might open up!
