Enabling Courageous Conversations that led to Change

The Trade Desk were on a mission to ignite a movement among their 120-strong manager community centred around growth, alignment and collaborative contribution. When they gathered for their annual EMEA Leadership Summit they invited us to provide a one-day development session that could support their goals.

The Trade Desk, Inc. is an American multinational technology company specialising in real-time programmatic marketing automation technologies, products, and services. These solutions are designed to personalise digital content delivery for users. The company is headquartered in Ventura, California.

The Programme

The day was designed around a central thread of Courageous Conversations whereby the intention was to raise managers' awareness of their leadership style and help them learn to apply different approaches while building deeper and more powerful relationships.

To make this possible, we gathered a 12-person facilitation team to create a safe and trusted space for the manager community to explore, connect, share and learn.

Through a mix of whole-group presentations and small-group breakout sessions, facilitation was experiential, interactive and energising, with models and practical tools to take away and apply. 

The Results

Following the event, managers formed buddy partnerships to share their learning and support each other in effectively implementing new practices and habits. As a direct result, follow-on action with accountability was reported to have created ripples and had a visible impact within their teams.
