Anamaría Acevedo

Anamaria is a coach and facilitator of the Global Warriors’ team. Having lived in various countries with very different cultures, she has become a fervent advocate for diversity and inclusion.

After a long and successful international career in architecture, Anamaría found herself living a very stressful and unfulfilling life. In 2011 the dissatisfaction turned into chronic fatigue and depression and she knew it was time to take a leap. She decided to switch careers and found her purpose in coaching.

Since then she has worked as a leadership, career and personal coach and facilitator in a range of sectors including technology, banking and the creative industries.

Anamaría uses her experience to assist individuals and teams to find their authentic leadership and passion. She believes that the principles of excellent design extend to building a fulfilling life and career so she helps her clients to demolish limitations, find clarity, and build confidence by creating values and strengths-based visions through creative processes.

She also facilitates leadership workshops in nature with the intention of supporting individuals to become creative, authentic and courageous leaders by helping them to reconnect with themselves, one another and the natural world.

With over 9 years of experience, Anamaría has supported people all around the world from a vast range of backgrounds to tap into innovation and creativity, to shift mindsets, expand choice, navigate change, and to show up in the world powerfully and with impact.

A creative individual, Anamaría is passionate about design, photography and Latin dancing. She is a jewellery designer and has her own jewellery brand; a meditator for 12 years; and is a qualified yoga teacher. She spends her free time drawing, reading, dancing and taking long walks in nature. Humour and lightness are really important to her.

Words of warrior wisdom:

Martha Postlewaite – Clearing

Do not try to save

the whole world

or do anything grandiose.

Instead, create

a clearing

in the dense forest

of your life

and wait there

patiently,

until the song

that is your life

falls into your own cupped hands

and you recognize and greet it.

Only then will you know

how to give yourself

to this world

so worthy of rescue.
